She was offering a free 8X10 with no session fee in exchange for the right to use a photo for her website redesign. We had our session on Saturday and she placed three of the shots on her blog as a sneak peak. The gallery is coming soon. I brought our rocking schnauzer I received at my shower as a prop since I have had NO luck getting a good one of her on it at home!
Check them out and let me know what you think.
Here is what I think so far:
#1 - Doesn't look like Madison to me at all. If I saw it somewhere, I might not even recognize it as her. That feels weird.
#2 - She was a little irritated can you tell? I think this was taken after she had signed "All done" a few times. When she is done, she is done, what can I say?
#3 - This looks like her and she is laughing and I love seeing her cute little teeth.

I actually love #1, but I could see why you would not want that one as a representation of her. #3 is super cute! I can't wait to see the rest of the photos.
I like #1 too. It is so peaceful (very unlike an almost 18 month old). This photographer does nice work. The pictures are clear and crisp. It is good to read your honest feedback because I rarely get it from my own clients (I think they talk about me on their blogs behind my back, "That SO doesn't look like my child!").
You crack me up Alysun. I sure don't want to hurt her feelings, but I am going to let her know my favorites after I see all of them. I was so excited about them being in focus. That is my biggest irritation. Thanks for the feedback. I am getting used to #1. It was funny because she had this big giant pillow and put it on the lawn with the sheepskin cover over it and Madison just plopped herself down. She wasn't really sure about the photographer so that is why she looks so serious. Daddy loved it too. She just looks so OLD, not my baby.... I will give her some feedback though. THANKS for the comments, I was going through withdrawals!
Hey, where is the "hypothetical" post?
